Mousie, you're no Ratatouille

We hesitated to inform our acquaintance that a mouse is among us, but s/he has shown so much chutzpah, and is so much part of our conversation, that we can hold back no longer. The building has been called upon to shut down little mousie's operations, but what is a sticky trap or steel wool when one has a taste for chocolate? Apparently our friend has not consulted the Cook's Illustrated chocolate chip rankings of the May-June 2009 issue. How else to explain the preference for the Ghirardelli Semi-Sweet (and dairy free) chips over the more delicious and higher-ranking bittersweet variety?
Now a speckled bird is insistently pecking at the screen. Seems the zoo is coming to us.
