The two babies were getting quite large. We wondered how everyone could keep fitting up there in the nest. One day, the mother disappeared for a long stretch. She eventually brought back a meal, but that was it. The parents left their nest, and at some point the little ones hopped out and practiced short flights on the porch. Then they left too.
Presently another bird family has taken over the nest and so we start again.
